The story so far…
Nick and Amanda Gauntlett have been breeding their “Party” prefixed sport horses for four generations from their secluded family farm near Badminton. Rosa’s Party (by Party Trick, himself by Badminton winner Chilli Morning) went to Le Lion d’Angers in France for the World Championships for young horses and the idea for the Party Horses Club was created. With their 2 boys; Henry and Arthur, Nick and Amanda enjoyed the owner experience so much they wanted to share it
Meet the Party Horses Club riders
Sammi Birch
Riding: Rosa’s Party
Based: Cirencester
Sammi has represented Australia on numerous occasions, notably at the World Equestrian Games and as travelling reserve for the Rio Olympics. Sammi has finished in the top 10 at Badminton Horse Trials CCI5* and 4th at the Pau (France) CCI5* and was also part of the winning Nations Cup team in Aachen. Sammi trains from her beautiful yard near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.
Austin O’Connor
Riding: Party Politics
Based: Newbury
Irish Olympian Austin O’Connor fulfilled a life long ambition by winning at Maryland CCI5* on his famous grey Colorado Blue. The pair also finished second and third respectively at the world renowned Burghley CCI5* and Badminton CCI5* Horse Trials. Austin has a stable full of beautiful horses.
Dani Stewart-Richardson
Riding: She likes to Party
Based: Bristol
Dani has won medals at youth Championships as both a Junior and Young Rider before going on to represent Great Britain at Senior Nations Cup level and being placed at Badminton CCI5*. She is one of the best producers of young horses and surely only a matter of time before she appears on an Olympic team.
Oscar Fitzgerald
Riding: Party in Paradise
Based: Lambourn
Oscar is the current Junior National Champion, he is a talented Young rider at the start of what promises to be an exciting career. Oscar was identified by more than one of our existing riders as a future star and the right Young Rider for us to support.
Harry Meade
Riding: Party Mac Wayer
Based: Bath
Harry is the current FEI Eveting World Number 1. In the 2025 season alone he finished in the top ten at 5* level seven times from seven starts, including podium finishes at Badminton, Burghley and Kentucky. Collectively he has thirty Badminton and Burghley competitions.
Harry is widely respected in the equestrian world for his quiet and sympathetic style of riding an renowned for his exceptional cross country riding.

Amanda rode in point to points, had a career in racing and Polo, Nick is a Fellow of the British Horse Society and has an Armada dish for 5 Badminton clears on 5 different horses. Henry and Arthur are active members of the Beaufort Pony Club and are looking forward to being old enough to compete ride some Party Horses!
Along with Sammi Birch, our other riders Harry Meade, Austin O’Connor, Dani Evans and Oscar Fitzgerald are all excited to be riding Party Horses. As a club member you will join a close-knit community sharing in what we all hope will be a fantastic experience. Join us on invitational behind the scenes yard visits, gain an insight into the training of these incredible athletes, celebrate at events and make wonderful memories.
Annual Fee: £1,650 (*discounted to £1,400 for Members joining before 1 May 2026).
